- 3 kaffir lime leaves (daun jeruk)
- 1 stalk of lemongrass, smashed
- 4 bird’s eye chilies, sliced coarsely
- Spring onions (daun bawang)
- Sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Flavor enhancer (optional), to taste
- 100 ml water
- Cooking oil for sautéing
