Nasi Goreng Sosis Telur: A Delicious Indonesian Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 cups cooked rice (approximately 3 servings)
- 2 large eggs
- 3 chicken sausages
- 1 stalk green onion
- 3 red chilies, sliced diagonally
- 4 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 7 curly red chilies
- 3 bird’s eye chilies (optional for extra heat)
- Salt, to taste
- Masako (or any chicken seasoning), to taste
- Sweet soy sauce, to taste
- Cooking oil, for sautéing
Steps:
-
Prepare the Spice Paste:
- Blend the shallots, garlic, red chilies, and salt into a smooth paste. If you have a food processor or mortar and pestle, use it to achieve a finely ground mixture. Set the spice paste aside for later use.
-
Cook the Eggs:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them well. Heat a little oil in a pan and pour in the beaten eggs. Cook until firm, then scramble the eggs into small pieces. Remove from the pan and set aside.
-
Prepare the Sausages and Chilies:
- Slice the chicken sausages diagonally. Also, slice the red chilies diagonally to match the sausage cuts. Chop the green onion into small pieces and set everything aside.
-
Sauté the Spice Paste:
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the prepared spice paste and sauté until it becomes aromatic and lightly browned.
-
Combine Ingredients:
- Add the chopped green onion and sliced red chilies to the pan. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the onions are tender. Next, add the scrambled eggs and sliced sausages to the pan. Stir-fry for a few more minutes until the sausages are heated through and everything is well combined.
-
Add the Rice:
- Add the cooked rice to the pan. Stir well to mix the rice with the other ingredients and ensure the spice paste evenly coats the rice.
-
Season the Dish:
- Season with sweet soy sauce to your taste. Continue to stir-fry until the rice is evenly mixed and heated through.
-
Taste and Adjust:
- Taste the fried rice and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more salt, Masako, or sweet soy sauce to suit your preference.
-
Serve:
- Serve the Nasi Goreng Sosis Telur hot. It pairs beautifully with crispy crackers and fresh cucumber or lettuce on the side.
