Tahu Campur Yamiii

Ingredients

  • 3 pieces of white tofu, half-fried, cut into cubes
  • 2 leaves of white cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of large bean sprouts, soaked briefly in hot water, drained
  • 1/2 cucumber, cut into small cubes
  • 1 red tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fried shallots
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

Ingredients to be Ground:

  • 5 bird’s eye chilies
  • 1 large red chili
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tablespoons fried peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted shrimp paste
  • Palm sugar
  • Salt
  • Royco seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Hot water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce:

    • Fry the chilies and shallots before grinding.
    • Grind the fried chilies and shallots together with raw garlic, fried peanuts, palm sugar, roasted shrimp paste, salt, and Royco seasoning.
    • Add 1/2 cup of hot water to the mixture and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, then set aside.
  2. Assemble the Dish:

    • Place the half-fried tofu cubes on a serving plate.
    • Top with sliced cabbage, blanched bean sprouts, cucumber cubes, and tomato slices.
    • Pour the prepared sauce over the assembled ingredients.
    • Drizzle with sweet soy sauce and sprinkle with fried shallots for an extra crunch.
  3. Serve:
