Black Pepper Beef #KetoFriendly
Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg (250 g) beef brisket, sliced thinly
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 green bell pepper (or any color of your choice), sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper (or to taste), coarsely ground
- 5 small Thai chili peppers (adjust to taste), sliced
- 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (e.g., Tropicana Slim for a lower sugar option)
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional; you can skip this if preferred)
- Coconut oil for frying (e.g., Barco brand)
- Water as needed
Instructions:
-
Marinate the Beef:
- Cut the beef brisket into thin, wide strips. Place the slices in a bowl and season with the sweet soy sauce and a pinch of salt. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 1 hour to absorb the flavors.
-
Sear the Beef:
- Heat a small amount of coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until it is browned and cooked through. Once done, remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
-
Prepare the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Sauté the sliced bell peppers, onion, garlic, and Thai chili peppers until they become tender and aromatic.
-
Combine and Simmer:
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the sweet soy sauce, optional oyster sauce, and coarsely ground black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Add a splash of water if needed to create a slightly saucy consistency. Let the mixture simmer for about 8 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
-
Serve:
- Adjust the seasoning to taste, if necessary. Serve the Black Pepper Beef warm, straight from the skillet.
Enjoy this flavorful and keto-friendly dish, perfect for a satisfying meal with a touch of spice!
