Ingredients

  • 1 pack of cow’s foot tendon (kikil sapi)
  • 2 large green chilies
  • 5 shallots
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

To be ground:

  • 7 curly red chilies
  • 1 tomato
  • Oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preparation:

    • Start by cutting the cow’s foot tendon into small square pieces and thoroughly rinse them under running water to ensure they are clean.
  2. Sautéing:

    • Slice the green chilies, shallots, and garlic. Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the sliced ingredients until they become fragrant and slightly golden.
  3. Spice Mix:

    • Add the ground red chilies and tomato to the sautéed mixture. Stir well to combine and allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Seasoning:

    • Season the mixture with salt and sugar according to your taste preference. Stir to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  5. Cooking Kikil:

    • Add the cleaned and cut cow’s foot tendon pieces to the pan. Mix them well with the sautéed spices and seasoning. Allow the dish to cook until the tendon pieces are fully cooked and tender, and the spices have been absorbed.
  6. Final Touch:

    • Once the kikil sapi is tender and flavorful, remove from heat. Your Kikil Sapi Masak Merah is ready to be served.

Enjoy this delicious and aromatic dish with your loved ones. Happy cooking! 😊👌
