Spicy Salmon Sushi Bites with Red Rice – Homemade by Lita
Ingredients:
- 8 pieces of salmon, cut into rectangular strips
- 1 large egg
- Mayumi spicy mayonnaise, to taste
- White sesame seeds, to taste
- Chuka wakame (seaweed salad), optional
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Salmon: Season the salmon strips with salt, pepper, and a splash of water. Let them marinate for a few minutes.
-
Cook the Egg: Beat the egg with a pinch of salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of water, and a sprinkle of parsley powder. Heat a pan and scramble the egg until cooked through.
-
Sauté the Garlic: In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add the marinated salmon strips and cook carefully to avoid splattering. Flip the salmon to ensure even cooking, then turn off the heat.
-
Prepare the Red Rice: Cook red rice according to package instructions. Once done, let it cool slightly.
-
Assemble the Sushi Bites:
- Shape the red rice into small, compact rectangles using your hands.
- Spread a layer of spicy mayonnaise on top of each rice piece.
- Place a piece of scrambled egg on the mayonnaise.
- Add another layer of mayonnaise on top of the egg and then place a piece of cooked salmon on it.
- Top the salmon with a final layer of mayonnaise and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
-
Serve: Garnish with chuka wakame if desired. Enjoy your homemade sushi bites!
Feel free to adjust the spiciness of the mayonnaise and the amount of chuka wakame to suit your taste.
