Sweet soy sauce 1 tablespoon (1 sdm)
Bird’s eye chili To taste (sesuai selera)
Salt To taste (secukupnya)
Seasoning (optional) To taste (secukupnya)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish: Take the bandeng presto, which can also be substituted with other types of fish if desired. Ensure it is cleaned and ready for cooking.

  2. Blend the Spice Mix: In a blender or using a mortar and pestle, combine the garlic, shallot, tomato, and birdโ€™s eye chili. Blend until you achieve a smooth paste.

  3. Cook the Spice Mix: In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the blended spice mixture and sautรฉ until fragrant, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. Add Water: Pour in the 50 ml of water and allow it to simmer until the spices begin to bubble.

  5. Incorporate the Fish: Gently place the bandeng presto into the pan. Let it sit for about 2 minutes to absorb the flavors from the sauce.
