- 1/2 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 large green chilies
- 1 large red chili
- 2 bird’s eye chilies (cabe rawit setan)
Additional Ingredients:
- A piece of ginger, smashed
- Nutmeg to taste
- Salt to taste
- Flavor enhancer to taste
- Cooking oil (such as barco) for sautéing
- Beef broth (kuah kaldu sapi) as needed

Prepare the Beef Fat: Rinse the beef fat thoroughly. Boil in water until cooked through, then discard the cooking water. Boil again until the fat is tender, then drain. Cut the beef fat into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
