Spicy Scrambled Eggs (Telur Orak Arik Pedas)
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg
- 2 small red chili peppers
- A handful of green onions (use only the stalks, if preferred)
- A few slices of red onion
- Salt to taste
- Chili powder to taste
- Soy sauce
- Cooking oil
Instructions:
- Crack the egg into a bowl.
- Add finely sliced red chili peppers, red onion slices, and chopped green onion stalks (note: if using green onions, you might prefer to save the leaves for another dish, like a vegetable stir-fry).
- Season with salt and chili powder according to your taste preference. If you like it saltier, adjust accordingly.
- Beat the mixture thoroughly until well combined.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan. Allow it to set for a moment before starting to scramble it gently.
- Use a spatula to push the eggs from the edges toward the center of the pan. Drizzle some soy sauce around the edges of the pan and mix it into the eggs as you continue to cook.
- Once the eggs are cooked through and scrambled to your liking, remove from heat.
- Serve and enjoy your spicy scrambled eggs!
