Stir-Fried Beef with Green Chili

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams beef, sliced against the grain
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 piece ginger, smashed
  • Green chilies (or red if preferred), to taste
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca flour
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (salted)
  • Sweet soy sauce, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (English style)
  • Sesame oil, to taste
  • Salt, sugar, and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Beef: Combine the beef slices with sweet soy sauce, salted soy sauce, sesame oil, and tapioca flour. Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly coated. Refrigerate for several hours to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. Stir-Fry the Aromatics: In a large pan or wok, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, chopped onion, smashed ginger, and green chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant and the onions are translucent.

  3. Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan. Stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  4. Add Sauces and Seasonings: Incorporate the oyster sauce, English soy sauce, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Add a splash of water if needed to create a bit of sauce. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.

  5. Final Touches: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  6. Serve: Transfer the stir-fried beef to a serving dish. Enjoy with steamed rice or your favorite side dishes.

Enjoy your delicious and flavorful stir-fried beef with green chilies!
