Stir-Fried Green Beans with Tempeh (Tumis Buncis Tempeh)

Bird’s eye chilies | 4 pieces |
Garlic cloves | 2 cloves |
Shallots | 5 pieces |
Galangal (Laos) | 1 slice |

Instructions:

Prepare the ingredients:
- Slice the green beans and tempeh according to your preference.
- Thinly slice the bird’s eye chilies, galangal, garlic, and shallots.

Fry the tempeh:
- Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, then fry the sliced tempeh until it’s halfway cooked, golden but still tender.

Sauté the spices:
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Stir-fry the sliced garlic, shallots, bird’s eye chilies, and galangal. Continue sautéing until fragrant.

Combine the tempeh and beans:
- Add the pre-fried tempeh to the pan and stir well with the sautéed spices.
- Add the green beans to the mixture. Stir well and season with sweet soy sauce, salt, and sugar to taste. Stir until the green beans are tender and everything is well-combined.
