Oseng Tahu Tempe Recipe

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe 200 grams
Tahu 200 grams
Red shallots 3 cloves
Garlic 4 cloves
Bird’s eye chili to taste
Red bell pepper 1
Sweet soy sauce to taste
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Begin by cutting the tempe and tahu into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cubes until they are half-cooked, then drain and set aside.

  2. Chopping: Thinly slice the red shallots, garlic, bird’s eye chili, and red bell pepper, preparing them for sautéing.

  3. Sautéing: In a hot pan, add the sliced shallots and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, then add the bird’s eye chili and red bell pepper. Cook until they soften and release their flavors.

  4. Combining Ingredients: Add the fried tempe and tahu to the pan. Gently stir to combine all the ingredients.

  5. Seasoning: Sprinkle in the salt, sugar, and sweet soy sauce. Stir well to coat the tempe and tahu evenly with the seasoning.

  6. Simmering: If the mixture appears dry, add a little water to help the flavors meld. Cook until all the spices are well absorbed.

  7. Serving: Serve your Oseng Tahu Tempe hot, ideally alongside warm steamed rice. Enjoy this delightful dish!
