Sambal Tempe Bosok

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe Semangit 1/2 papan
Shallots 4 bulbs
Garlic 2 cloves
Lemongrass 1 stalk
Kencur (aromatic ginger) To taste
Ginger To taste
Chilies 5 pieces (adjust to taste)
Salt To taste

Instructions:

  1. Begin by cutting the tempe semangit into smaller pieces and steaming it for approximately 30 minutes until tender.
  2. While the tempe is steaming, rinse the lemongrass, shallots, chilies, kencur, and ginger under running water to remove any impurities.
  3. Once the tempe is cooked, mash it together with all the prepared ingredients using a mortar and pestle until you achieve a well-blended mixture. Season with salt to taste.
  4. Your Sambal Tempe Bosok is now ready to be served! It pairs beautifully with warm rice, making for a delightful meal. Enjoy and happy cooking!
