Sayur Toge Campur Tahu: A Flavorful Mixed Bean Sprout and Tofu Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • Bean Sprouts (Toge)
  • White Tofu (Tahu Putih)
  • Green Onions (Daun Bawang)

Spices:

  • 5 cloves red shallots (Bawang Merah)
  • 3 cloves garlic (Bawang Putih)
  • 1 tomato (Tomat)
  • 3 bird’s eye chilies (Cabe Rawit)
  • 3 long red chilies (Cabe Merah Panjang)
  • Salt (Garam), to taste
  • Sugar (Gula), to taste
  • Flavor enhancer (Penyedap Rasa), to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu:

    • Start by frying the white tofu until golden brown and crispy. Once done, drain the excess oil and set aside.
  2. Slice the Vegetables:

    • Thinly slice the red shallots, garlic, bird’s eye chilies, long red chilies, and tomato. Chop the green onions into small pieces.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics:

    • In a pan, heat some oil and sauté the sliced shallots, garlic, bird’s eye chilies, long red chilies, and tomato until fragrant and slightly caramelized.
