Tahu 3 Rasa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of white tofu or silken tofu
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 shallot
  • 3 red curly chilies
  • 2 bird’s eye chilies (red)
  • 3 green curly chilies
  • 1 tablespoon chicken or beef bouillon (MSG-free)
  • 2-3 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 packet all-purpose seasoning flour

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into small, bite-sized cubes. Dip each cube into a batter made from the all-purpose seasoning flour mixed with a little water, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Fry the tofu cubes in hot oil until they are golden and crispy. Remove from the oil and set aside.

  2. Make the Sauce: In a separate pan, heat a small amount of the oil used for frying. Add the minced garlic, chopped shallot, and all the chilies (both red and green). Sauté until the garlic and shallots are fragrant and the chilies are dried out.

  3. Add Flavor: Stir in the oatmeal and the bouillon powder. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the oatmeal is evenly mixed and has absorbed the flavors, turning a uniform color.

  4. Combine and Serve: Gently fold in the fried tofu cubes into the sautéed mixture. Stir well to ensure the tofu is coated with the flavorful mixture. Turn off the heat and transfer to a serving dish.
