  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  5. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
  6. To prepare the sauce: In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt. Add diced tomatoes with their juice, and simmer for 20 minutes.
