Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Red Layer
Start by soaking 4g of gelatin sheets in cold water for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, pour the cranberry juice into a high-sided pan and heat it gently over low heat. Add 1 sheet of soaked and squeezed gelatin to the juice, stirring with a hand whisk until it dissolves completely. Once dissolved, remove from heat and transfer the liquid into a measuring jug. Pour about 30g of the cranberry gelatin mixture into each shot glass. Alternatively, use a measuring jug with a spout to make pouring easier. Place the glasses in the fridge and let them set for at least 2 hours.

Step 2: Make the Panna Cotta Layer
In another high-sided pan, pour the heavy cream and add 1 sheet of soaked and squeezed gelatin. Heat gently and stir until the gelatin dissolves completely. Once done, remove from heat and let the panna cotta mixture cool down slightly. Take the chilled shot glasses from the fridge and pour about 30g of panna cotta into each glass, using the measuring jug to ensure precise amounts. Return the glasses to the fridge for another 2 hours to allow the panna cotta layer to set.

Step 3: Prepare the Blue Layer
Now, for the final blue gelatin layer, pour the lemon soda into a pan and heat it over low heat. Add the last sheet of soaked and squeezed gelatin, stirring with a whisk until it dissolves completely. Once the gelatin is fully dissolved, remove from heat and carefully pour the blue mixture into the measuring jug. Pour about 30g of the blue gel into each shot glass, layering it on top of the panna cotta layer. Let the shots set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Step 4: Decorate the Jelly Shots
Once all the layers are set, it’s time to decorate. Carefully place 6 small sugar stars onto each shot glass, gently pressing them into the blue gelatin layer. Use kitchen tweezers for precision. The stars will mimic the American flag’s design, completing the “Stars and Stripes” look.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!
