Ingredients

Lasagna and Cheese Sauce

  • 4 sheets of lasagna pasta
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Grated Cheddar cheese
  • Grated Kraft Quick Melt cheese
  • Oregano (optional)
  • Water (for boiling lasagna sheets)
  • Aluminum foil cups (for steaming)

Cheese Sauce

  • 500 ml full cream UHT milk (such as Ultra Milk)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Kraft Quick Melt cheese
  • 2 tablespoons spreadable cheese (such as Procis)
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Oregano (optional)

Beef Sauce

  • 100 grams ground beef
  • 2 small onions, finely chopped
  • 1 packet of La Fonte Bolognese instant sauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lasagna Sheets:

    • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add vegetable oil and salt.
    • Cook the lasagna sheets in the boiling water until al dente, following the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
    • Add the flour and stir quickly to combine, cooking for a minute to form a roux.
    • Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
    • Cook until the mixture starts to thicken.
    • Stir in the grated Cheddar cheese, Kraft Quick Melt cheese, and spreadable cheese. Continue stirring until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth.
    • Season with ground nutmeg and, if desired, a pinch of oregano. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Beef Sauce:

    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if necessary.
    • Sauté the chopped onions until translucent.
    • Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
    • Stir in the La Fonte Bolognese instant sauce, ground nutmeg, and ground black pepper. Cook until the sauce is well combined and heated through. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Lasagna:

    • Prepare a steamer or a large pot with a steaming rack and bring water to a boil.
    • Lightly grease the aluminum foil cups with butter.
    • Begin layering in the following order: a sheet of lasagna pasta, followed by a layer of cheese sauce, and then a layer of beef sauce. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of beef sauce.
    • Top the final layer with grated Cheddar cheese, Kraft Quick Melt cheese, and a sprinkle of oregano if desired.
  5. Steam the Lasagna:

    • Place the assembled lasagna cups into the steamer.
    • Steam over medium heat until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20-30 minutes.
  6. Serve:

    • Carefully remove the lasagna from the steamer.
    • Serve hot with your favorite chili sauce or condiment.
