Tahu Kukus Labu Parang (Steamed Tofu with Pumpkin)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu Mixture: In a mixing bowl, mash the white tofu using a fork until smooth. Add the grated garlic, sliced green onions, grated pumpkin, egg, sugar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle in the cooking oil and mix well, ensuring all ingredients are evenly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  2. Steam the Mixture: Bring water to a boil in your steamer. While waiting for the water to heat, transfer the tofu mixture into a mold or individual ramekins (no need to grease).

  3. Cooking: Once the steamer is hot, place the mold(s) in the steamer basket. Cover and steam for approximately 20 minutes, or until the mixture is set and firm.

  4. Serve: Carefully remove from the steamer, let cool slightly, then unmold. Serve warm and enjoy the delightful blend of flavors!
