Baby Beans with Beef (DEBM Style)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 kg green beans, trimmed
  • 200 g thinly sliced beef
  • 3 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 100 ml water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of seasoning (optional, such as Masako)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Begin by prepping all the ingredients. Trim the ends off the green beans, slice the shallots and garlic, and thinly slice the beef.

  2. Sauté Aromatics: Heat a pan over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Sauté the sliced shallots and garlic until they become fragrant and translucent.

  3. Cook the Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan. Stir and cook until the beef changes color and is no longer pink. Season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and oyster sauce. Mix well to combine the flavors.

  4. Simmer: Pour in the water and stir. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and tender.

  5. Add Green Beans: Add the trimmed green beans to the pan. Stir well to incorporate the beans into the dish. Cook for a few minutes, just until the beans are heated through but still crisp. Avoid overcooking to maintain their freshness.

  6. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. If desired, add a bit more Masako or seasoning according to your preference.

  7. Serve: Once the green beans are cooked to your liking, remove from heat. Serve the dish hot, either on its own or with a side of rice.

This recipe delivers a delightful balance of savory beef and crisp green beans, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Enjoy your healthy and flavorful Baby Beans with Beef!
