Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 3/4 cups of milk, salt, honey, and heat over medium heat until warm (118°F. to 120°F.). Transfer the mixture to a large bowl.

Stir in the packet of active dry yeast and 2 cups of all-purpose flour. Cover and let it stand for 10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Add the egg and 2 cups of flour to the mixture, stirring well. If the dough is very sticky, gradually add additional 1/2 cup flour until it reaches a smooth consistency.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 6 to 8 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it stand for 30 to 40 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a 15×11-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Punch the dough down to deflate it, then turn it out onto a floured surface and divide it in half. Cover each half and let it stand for 10 minutes.

Roll out one half of the dough into a 15×10-inch rectangle.
