Simple Soy Sauce Chicken Liver Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 kg chicken livers, boiled and cut into cubes
  • 3 potatoes, peeled, diced, and fried
  • Soy sauce, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sliced Ingredients:
    • 1 large onion, sliced
    • 4 shallots, sliced
    • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
    • 1 red chili, diagonally sliced
    • Kaffir lime leaves, a few
    • A small piece of ginger, smashed
    • A small piece of galangal, smashed

Instructions:

  1. Sauté the Aromatics:
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, shallots, garlic, and red chili. Cook until the mixture becomes fragrant and the onions turn translucent.

  2. Add Aromatic Ingredients:
Introduce the kaffir lime leaves, smashed ginger, and galangal into the pan. Stir for a minute to release their flavors.

  3. Cook the Main Ingredients:
Add the chicken livers and fried potatoes to the pan. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to a simmer.

  4. Season:
Add soy sauce, sugar, salt, and any additional flavor enhancers if desired. Stir well and let the mixture cook until the liquid reduces and thickens to your preferred consistency.

  5. Adjust Seasoning:
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Continue to cook until the sauce has reduced and the chicken livers are well-coated.

  6. Serve:
Once the dish is ready and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat. Serve hot and enjoy!

This Simple Soy Sauce Chicken Liver recipe is a comforting and flavorful dish that pairs wonderfully with steamed rice. Its savory and slightly sweet sauce makes it a delightful addition to any meal.
