Tahu Tempe Bacem Recipe

Ingredients

Tempe 2 packets
Tahu 2 packets
Daun Salam 3 leaves
Gula Merah 250 g
Garam 1 tsp
Gula Pasir 1 tbsp
Bawang Merah 3 cloves
Ketumbar 3 tsp
Kecap Manis 2 tbsp
Water 1 liter

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing the tofu (tahu) and tempe thoroughly, then cut them into your desired shapes.
  2. Slice the shallots (bawang merah) or mash them finely along with the coriander (ketumbar).
  3. In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil, then add the sliced shallots, daun salam, gula merah, gula pasir, ketumbar, garam, tofu, and tempe.
  4. Stir well while gradually adding the kecap manis, allowing the flavors to blend beautifully. Cook until the water has absorbed into the tofu and tempe.
  5. Once the seasonings have fully infused, remove from heat and drain the excess liquid.
  6. You can serve the Tahu Tempe Bacem in two delightful ways: either enjoy it immediately as is, or fry it for a crispy finish.
