Sweet and Sour Fried Eggs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 fried eggs (sunny side up)
  • For the Sauce:
    • 1/4 small onion
    • 1 small garlic clove
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 3 tablespoons ketchup
    • 1/2 teaspoon oyster sauce
    • Salt, to taste
    • Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Finely chop the small onion and garlic clove.

  2. Cook the Sauce: In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Combine the Sauce Ingredients: Pour in the water, ketchup, and oyster sauce. Stir well and bring to a boil.

  4. Add the Eggs: Carefully place the fried eggs into the pan with the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar if desired.

  5. Simmer and Serve: Cook until the sauce thickens and flavors are well absorbed by the eggs, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  6. Serve: Enjoy your Sweet and Sour Fried Eggs hot, right from the pan.

Note: For best results, fry the eggs without any salt or seasoning. This allows the sweet and sour sauce to fully complement the eggs.
