Sweet and Spicy Black Pepper Beef
Ingredients:
- 500 grams thinly sliced beef
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 5 large green chilies, diagonally sliced
- 1 packet Saori oyster sauce
- 1 packet Kecap Bango (sweet soy sauce)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Water, as needed for cooking
- Salt, pepper, and seasoning to taste
- Oil for sautéing
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef:
- Rinse the beef thoroughly and marinate it with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
-
Sauté Aromatics:
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and crushed garlic. Sauté until fragrant and the onions turn translucent.
-
Cook the Chilies:
- Add the green chilies to the pan and continue to sauté for another minute.
-
Add the Beef:
- Introduce the marinated beef slices to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef changes color and starts to brown.
-
Simmer:
- Pour in enough water to cover the beef partially. Stir well to combine. Let it cook until the beef is halfway done.
-
Season and Flavor:
- Add the Kecap Bango, oyster sauce, salt, seasoning, and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly and allow the dish to cook until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.
-
Final Touches:
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Once the beef is cooked through and the flavors are well combined, remove from heat.
-
Serve:
- Serve hot with steamed rice for a satisfying meal.
Enjoy this sweet and spicy black pepper beef, and happy cooking! 😊
