- 1 tablespoon Saori (or soy sauce)

Instructions:
-
Prepare the Fish:
- Rinse the mojarra fish thoroughly with lime juice to remove any impurities. Pat the fish dry.
- Coat the fish with Tepung Sajiku (or all-purpose flour) evenly. Note: Do not add water to the flour; it should be dry for a crispy texture.
-
Fry the Fish:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated fish until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove from the oil and set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.
-
Prepare the Sauce:
- Slice the shallots, garlic, onion, red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, and tomato.
- In a separate pan, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Sauté the onion until it becomes translucent and soft. Add the garlic and shallots, cooking until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, and tomato. Continue to cook until the vegetables are softened and aromatic.
-
Make the Sweet and Spicy Sauce:
- Add chili sauce and Saori (or soy sauce) to the pan. Stir well to combine.
- Season with black pepper powder, sugar, salt, and/or seasoning powder to taste.
- Pour in enough water to create a sauce with a slightly thick consistency. Let it simmer until the sauce is well blended and has thickened slightly.
-
Combine and Serve:
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Once the sauce has reached the desired flavor and consistency, remove from heat.
- Arrange the fried fish in a serving dish.
- Pour the sweet and spicy sauce over the fish, ensuring it is well coated.
