Spiced Prune Chutney Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup prunes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp nutmeg powder
- 1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
- 4 tbsp red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- Salt, to taste

Cooking Time: 20 mins
Instructions:
- To make the chutney, start by heating a little oil in a pan. Add the carom seeds and cook for 15 seconds.
- Next, add the chopped onion and cook until it softens.
- Add the chopped tomato, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, red chili flakes, honey, vinegar, and salt. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until the tomato softens.
- Mash the mixture and add the prunes. Pour in 1/2 cup water and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let the chutney cool.
- Once it cools down, blend it into a coarse paste using a blender.
- Serve the chutney with dishes like dosa or sandwiches, or even enjoy it with your favorite snacks.
This spiced prune chutney pairs perfectly with ghee-roasted dosa and filter coffee for a delightful breakfast!
