Instructions:

Toast bran in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until fragrant and slightly golden. Transfer the toasted bran to a large mixing bowl and add the remaining dry ingredients (excluding chocolate chips).

Soak raisins in hot water for 5 minutes, then puree them in a heat-resistant blender until smooth.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine the raisin puree with the remaining wet ingredients: applesauce, molasses, brown sugar, milk, and eggs. Mix well.
