- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)

- Chop the Aromatics: Finely chop the shallots and garlic.
- Sauté the Aromatics: In a separate pan, heat a small amount of oil. Add the chopped shallots and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Season the Dish: Add a pinch of salt, chicken bouillon powder, and ground white pepper to the sautéed aromatics. Stir well.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the pre-fried beef jerky to the pan and mix well with the seasoned aromatics.
- Add More Seasoning: Sprinkle in a bit of ground black pepper for an added depth of flavor.
- Flavor with Soy Sauce: Pour in the sweet soy sauce and a splash of water to help blend the flavors. Stir to combine.
- Sweeten the Sauce: Add a little granulated sugar and continue to cook until the beef jerky is well-coated and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste and Serve: Adjust the seasoning to taste. Serve the Dendeng Sapi Bumbu Kecap warm.
Note: For those who enjoy a bit of heat, add some sliced red bird’s eye chilies (cabe rawit merah) to the dish during the sautéing process.
