Semur Tahu Telor (Indonesian Braised Tofu and Egg)
Ingredients:
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 1/2 block of tofu, sliced thickly and partially fried
- For the Sauce:
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 shallots, finely ground
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Seasoning powder, to taste
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- Water, as needed
- Fried shallots, for garnish
Instructions:

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Make the Sauce:
- Stir in the sweet soy sauce (kecap manis), seasoning powder (rajarasa), black pepper, sugar, and salt. Adjust the flavor with water to your liking and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Combine and Cook:
- Once the sauce is well-balanced, add the hard-boiled eggs and fried tofu to the pan. Allow the ingredients to cook together for about 5 minutes, so that the flavors meld and the tofu absorbs the sauce.

- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fried shallots for added texture and flavor. Serve hot.
