Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings ala Wida
Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken wings (cut into 3 parts and discard the wing tips)
- 1-2 packets Kentucky-style breading mix (or make your own flour mixture)
- 5-6 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1-2 cloves garlic (crushed and finely chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (diluted with a little water)
- Salt (to taste)
- Sugar (to taste)
- Cooking oil (for frying)
- Optional garnish: chopped celery or fried shallots

Prepare the Chicken Wings:
- Wash the chicken wings thoroughly and cut them into three parts, discarding the tips. Pat dry with paper towels.

Breading the Chicken:
- Coat the chicken wings with a mixture of flour (diluted with water) and then roll them in the dry breading mix. Repeat this process twice to ensure a crispy coating.

Frying:
- Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken wings until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
