Layered Egg Omelette with Kuai

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 50 grams of kuai (also known as Chinese chives)
  • Salt and seasoning powder, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet and spicy chili sauce
  • Cooking oil, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Start by thoroughly washing the kuai. Once cleaned, chop it into small pieces.
  2. Prepare the Egg Mixture:

    • In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until well-beaten. Add the chopped kuai to the eggs, along with a pinch of salt and seasoning powder. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Cook the Omelette:

    • Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Pour in a ladleful of the egg mixture into the pan, spreading it out evenly. Cook until the omelette is fully set and lightly golden brown on the underside.
    • Carefully flip the omelette and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Add the Sauce:

    • Once cooked, remove the omelette from the pan and brush one side with sweet and spicy chili sauce.
  5. Layer and Serve:

    • Repeat the cooking process with the remaining egg mixture, creating layers of omelette and sauce. Stack the finished omelettes on top of each other.
  6. Ready to Serve:

    • Your layered egg omelette with kuai is now ready to be served. Enjoy this savory and flavorful dish as a delicious meal or snack! 😊

Feel free to customize the seasoning and sauce to suit your taste preferences.
