Sweet and Sour Gurame Fish Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 fried Gurame fish
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 small piece of ginger, finely chopped
  • 50 ml water

Instructions:

  1. Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, finely chopped ginger, and diced onion. Sauté until the mixture becomes aromatic and the onions are translucent.

  2. Cook Tomatoes: Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet. Cook until the tomatoes soften and release their juices, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  3. Prepare Sauce Mixture: Stir in the tomato ketchup, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ground pepper, salt, and sugar. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  4. Simmer: Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Combine with Fish: Gently place the fried Gurame fish into the skillet, ensuring it is well-coated with the sauce. Allow it to heat through and absorb the flavors for a few minutes.

  6. Serve: Transfer the Gurame fish to a serving plate, spooning extra sauce over the top. Enjoy this sweet and tangy dish with steamed rice or your favorite side.

This recipe offers a delightful balance of sweet and tangy flavors, highlighting the tender, crispy Gurame fish in a savory sauce that’s perfect for any occasion.
