Savory Beef Yakiniku with Carrots

Ingredients:

  • 100 g beef (boiled until tender, cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 shallots
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 red chilies (optional)
  • 2 green chilies (optional)
  • 1 small tomato
  • A small piece of galangal
  • 1 bay leaf
  • A small carrot
  • A few green beans
  • Sambal sauce (optional)
  • Tomato sauce (optional)
  • Saori oyster sauce (optional)
  • Saori teriyaki sauce (optional)
  • A splash of soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice all the seasoning ingredients. Finely chop the shallots, garlic, and tomato. Slice the red and green chilies if using. Thinly slice the carrot and trim the green beans.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a pan over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Sauté the shallots, garlic, tomato, and chilies (if using) until fragrant and golden.

  3. Cook the Vegetables and Beef: Add the sliced carrot, green beans, and the pre-cooked beef to the pan. Pour in approximately one cup of water. Stir well to combine.

  4. Season the Dish: Add a pinch of salt and a small amount of sugar to balance the flavors. Incorporate a splash of Saori oyster sauce, Saori teriyaki sauce, and a little soy sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste. If desired, add a bit of sambal sauce and tomato sauce for additional flavor.

  5. Simmer and Adjust: Allow the mixture to simmer until the carrots become tender and the water has reduced slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  6. Finish and Serve: Add the sliced onion just before finishing the cooking process, allowing it to remain crisp. Turn off the heat and serve immediately.

Enjoy this flavorful Beef Yakiniku with Carrots as a delicious and satisfying meal!
