Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of beef (sliced into small pieces)

  • For the spice paste:
    • 6 cloves garlic
    • 5 shallots
    • 1 piece ginger
    • 5 red chilies
    • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
    • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
    • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
    • Salt to taste
  • For stir-frying:
    • Sweet soy sauce (to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
    • 3 onions (sliced)
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:

    • Clean the beef and slice it into small pieces. To tenderize the meat, soak it in either a strong tea solution or pineapple juice for 15-25 minutes. This step helps to make the beef tender and juicy.
  2. Make the Spice Paste:

    • Blend the garlic, shallots, ginger, and red chilies into a smooth paste. Add salt, oyster sauce, ground pepper, and cooking oil to the mixture, and blend again until well combined.
  3. Marinate the Beef:

    • Rub the spice paste evenly over the beef slices. Add sweet soy sauce to the mixture and mix well. For the best flavor, let the marinated beef sit in the freezer for 30-60 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  4. Stir-Fry:
