Beef Teriyaki Delight for One Year Old and Up
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces beef (cut into small pieces)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1/4 onion (preferably yellow or brown)
- 4 small pieces of bell pepper (color of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter (or Blue Band margarine)
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions:
-
Begin by preparing the beef. Cut the beef into small pieces and gently pound them to tenderize. In a pot, bring water to a boil and cook the beef pieces until they are tender and no longer pink in the center. Note that color alone doesn’t indicate doneness, so make sure they are tender.
-
While the beef is cooking, prepare the vegetables. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Slice the onion and the quartered onion into thin pieces. Cut the bell peppers into small chunks or strips.
-
Once the beef is tender, drain it and set it aside. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once the butter is melted, sauté the garlic, onions, and quartered onion until they become fragrant and translucent.
-
Add the bell peppers to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften. Next, add the cooked beef to the skillet and stir well to combine.
-
Season the mixture with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and add a little water if needed to reach your desired consistency. Stir everything together and cook for a few more minutes until the flavors meld and everything is heated through.
-
Remove from heat and transfer the dish to a serving plate. This beef teriyaki dish is now ready to be enjoyed. It’s perfect for little ones aged one year and up, offering a delicious and nutritious meal.
