Beef Tacos Recipe
Ingredients:
- 300 grams ground beef (preferably tenderloin)
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper (black or white)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 2 tablespoons butter for cooking
- Tortillas (refer to previous posts for recipe)
For the Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
For Serving:
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 large tomato, deseeded and sliced thinly
- Fresh curly lettuce or regular lettuce
- Grated cheese (optional)

Prepare the Beef Mixture:
- In a small bowl, combine coriander, cumin, pepper, and olive oil with the finely chopped onion. Mix well.
- Add this mixture to the ground beef. Season with salt and adjust the flavor as needed.
- Shape the seasoned beef into flat, oval patties or any preferred shape. Let them rest for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Cook the Beef Patties:
- Heat the butter (or margarine) in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the beef patties in the skillet until all sides are browned and cooked through. Set aside.

Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chili sauce, lemon or lime juice, and olive oil (if using).
- Adjust the seasoning to taste and set aside.

Assemble the Tacos:
- Warm the tortillas if needed.
- Place a layer of curly lettuce or regular lettuce on each tortilla.
- Add the sliced onion and tomato on top of the lettuce.
- Place a beef patty on each tortilla and drizzle with the prepared sauce.
- Fold the tortillas in half to create a taco shape.

Serve:
- Arrange the assembled tacos on a serving plate.
- Garnish with extra sauce if desired, and serve immediately.
