Dori Fillet Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Dori fish fillets 2 fillets
Garlic cloves, minced 3 cloves
Onion, finely chopped 1 small onion
Scallion, sliced 1 stalk
Ground black pepper 2 tablespoons
Salt To taste
Sugar To taste
Margarine 1-2 tablespoons

For Marinade:

Ingredient Quantity
Teriyaki sauce 3 tablespoons
Sweet soy sauce 2 tablespoons
Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish: Cut the dori fillets into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, sweet soy sauce, and soy sauce. Add the fish fillet pieces into the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to absorb.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a pan over medium heat and melt the margarine. Once melted, add the minced garlic and chopped onions. Sauté until fragrant and the onions become translucent.

  3. Cook the Fish: After the fish has marinated, add the fillets to the pan. For a saucier teriyaki, add an additional tablespoon of margarine and 1 cup of water to the pan. Let the fish cook, allowing the sauce to simmer and reduce. Stir occasionally and let the liquid thicken.

  4. Final Touches: Once the sauce has reduced and the fish is cooked through, add the sliced scallions. Stir gently and cook until the scallions wilt slightly, adding a fresh aroma to the dish.

  5. Serve: Your delicious dori teriyaki is now ready to be served! Enjoy it over a bed of rice or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal.

This Dori Fillet Teriyaki offers a savory, sweet, and umami-filled dish that is perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner. The tender dori fillets absorb the rich teriyaki marinade, while the garlic and scallions add layers of fresh flavors to the dish.
