  1. Begin by blanching the snow peas. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add the snow peas and cook for exactly one minute. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process and refresh their color and crunch. Drain the snow peas and set them aside.

  2. In the meantime, bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
