Tuna Mayo Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

Pizza Crust Toppings
150 ml warm water 150 g boiled tomatoes (peeled and blended)
5 g yeast 4 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp salt
250 g all-purpose flour 1 tsp sugar
2.5 tbsp vegetable oil 1 onion (half sliced, half chopped)
Thinly sliced green onions
1 tbsp oil for sautéing
100 g grated mozzarella cheese
Mayonnaise to taste
1 small can of tuna
5 sausages

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: Start by taking 50 ml of warm water and adding the yeast. Cover the glass and let it sit until the mixture becomes frothy, indicating the yeast is ready to use.

  2. Make the Dough: Create a well in the center of the flour and add the activated yeast mixture, sugar, and the remaining 100 ml of warm water. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Incorporate the vegetable oil and salt, and knead again until well combined.

  3. Let It Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  4. Prepare the Tomato Sauce: In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, then add the blended tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens and any excess liquid evaporates. Set aside.

  5. Shape the Pizza: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into two portions. For each portion, place the dough in a 24 cm pizza pan, spreading it out evenly to fit the pan. For one pizza, arrange the sausages around the edge, creating a border. For the other, slightly thicken the edge.

  6. Add the Toppings: Lightly brush the dough with oil, then spread a layer of tomato sauce over it. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, followed by the tuna, chopped onions, and a drizzle of mayonnaise. Finish with a scattering of sliced green onions.

  7. Bake the Pizza: Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Bake the pizzas for 15-20 minutes, placing one on the middle rack for the first 10 minutes. Then, move it to the top rack for the remaining time to ensure even cooking.

  8. Serve and Enjoy: Once baked, allow the pizzas to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy your delicious Tuna Mayo Pizza warm!

This recipe combines the delightful flavors of tuna and mayonnaise atop a homemade pizza crust, offering a unique twist that’s perfect for family gatherings or a casual dinner.
