Ingredients:

3 tablespoons Ground almonds
2 tablespoons Granulated sugar

2 tablespoons Butter, melted

Coarse sugar (for sprinkling, if desired)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Yeast: In a small mixing bowl, soften the yeast in warm water; set aside.

  2. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, stir together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cardamom or nutmeg.
