Ultimate Homemade Burger with All the Fixings

Ingredients:

  • Bread:

    • 15 slices of sandwich bread
  • For the Chicken Patty:

    • 1 kg chicken breast fillet
    • 1/2 kg all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1 packet ground black pepper
    • 1 egg
  • For the Spice Mix:

    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 5 shallots
  • For the Toppings:

    • 1 pack Prochizz cheese (slices)
    • 5 eggs
    • 1/2 kg beef floss (abon sapi)
    • 2 onions
    • 2 lettuce leaves
    • 2 cucumbers
    • 2 tomatoes
    • 1 bottle mayonnaise
    • 1 bottle Del Monte tomato ketchup
    • 1 bottle Del Monte chili sauce
    • As needed: water
    • As needed: oil or margarine

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Patty:

    • Clean the chicken breasts thoroughly. Season with a pinch of salt, then drain and either grind or blend until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Spice Mix:

    • Clean and finely chop the garlic and shallots. Blend or grind them into a smooth paste.
  3. Combine Ingredients:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, all-purpose flour, the prepared spice paste, ground nutmeg, black pepper, and one beaten egg. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and cohesive. Shape into patties and set aside.
  4. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Wash and thinly slice the onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Set aside.
  5. Cook the Patties and Bread:

    • Split the bread slices in half and spread margarine on them. Heat a non-stick frying pan with a small amount of oil or margarine. Cook the patties until they are golden brown and cooked through, and lightly toast the bread slices in the same pan.
  6. Fry the Eggs:

    • In a separate pan, fry the eggs as desired (sunny side up or scrambled).
  7. Assemble the Burger:

    • On a serving tray, lay out all the bread slices. Layer each slice with a patty, fried egg, beef floss, cheese slices, cucumber, tomato, onion, and lettuce. Drizzle with mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, and chili sauce. Top with another slice of bread.
  8. Serve:

    • Serve the burgers warm, immediately after assembling for the best flavor and texture.
