Category: Desserts
Serves: 3

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Dark chocolate 300g
Biscotti (dry cookies) 110g
Colorful sprinkles 50g
White chocolate 50g
Dark chocolate (for second batch) 300g
Salted roasted peanuts 80g
Peanut butter 50g
White chocolate (for second batch) 300g
Salted roasted pistachios 80g
Dried cranberries 80g

Instructions:

Step 1: Tempering the Chocolate

To prepare your chocolate bark, start by tempering the chocolate using the “seed” method. This is a home method that helps achieve crisp, shiny bars that will last longer without becoming soft.

  1. Begin with pre-tempered chocolate bars. Chop about two-thirds of the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl.
  2. Microwave in intervals of 30 seconds, stirring with a spatula each time, until fully melted.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, remove the bowl from the microwave and add the remaining third of the chopped chocolate.
  4. Stir the mixture carefully with the spatula until everything is smooth and evenly melted.

Step 2: Creating the Base Layer

  1. Pour the melted dark chocolate into a 9×13-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the chocolate into an even layer, about 2-3 mm thick, using the back of a spoon.

Step 3: Adding the First Toppings

  1. While the dark chocolate is still soft, break the dry cookies into rough pieces by hand and scatter them evenly over the chocolate layer.
  2. Sprinkle the colorful sprinkles over the surface for added color and fun.
  3. Next, melt the white chocolate using the same tempering method described earlier, then use a piping bag or spoon to drizzle diagonal lines of the melted white chocolate over the bark.

Step 4: Letting It Set

  1. Allow the bark to set at room temperature for about 2 hours until it is fully solidified.
  2. Once hardened, break the bark into irregular pieces by hand.

Step 5: Second Layer – Peanut and White Chocolate

  1. Repeat the tempering process with the dark chocolate, as done in Step 1.
  2. Once the chocolate is ready, spread it in a new 9×13-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper, again creating a 2-3 mm thick layer.
  3. Sprinkle the salted peanuts over the melted chocolate surface.

Step 6: Letting It Set Again

  1. Allow the bark to solidify for at least 2 hours at room temperature until fully set. Once hardened, break it into pieces by hand.

Step 7: Final Layer – Pistachios and White Chocolate

  1. Temper the white chocolate once more using the same method.
  2. Spread the melted white chocolate in a 9×13-inch sheet pan, ensuring the layer is 2-3 mm thick.
  3. Immediately sprinkle the salted roasted pistachios evenly across the surface.

Step 8: Final Set

  1. Allow the white chocolate layer to set at room temperature for 2 hours.
  2. Once hardened, the chocolate bark candy is ready to be enjoyed or gifted!

This deliciously crunchy and colorful treat combines the richness of dark and white chocolate, with a variety of fun and flavorful toppings like dry cookies, peanuts, cranberries, and pistachios. It’s perfect for a sweet treat or as a homemade gift for friends and family!
