Instructions:
Step 1: Tempering the Chocolate
To prepare your chocolate bark, start by tempering the chocolate using the “seed” method. This is a home method that helps achieve crisp, shiny bars that will last longer without becoming soft.
- Begin with pre-tempered chocolate bars. Chop about two-thirds of the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl.
- Microwave in intervals of 30 seconds, stirring with a spatula each time, until fully melted.
- Once the chocolate is melted, remove the bowl from the microwave and add the remaining third of the chopped chocolate.
- Stir the mixture carefully with the spatula until everything is smooth and evenly melted.
Step 2: Creating the Base Layer
- Pour the melted dark chocolate into a 9×13-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the chocolate into an even layer, about 2-3 mm thick, using the back of a spoon.
Step 3: Adding the First Toppings
- While the dark chocolate is still soft, break the dry cookies into rough pieces by hand and scatter them evenly over the chocolate layer.
- Sprinkle the colorful sprinkles over the surface for added color and fun.
- Next, melt the white chocolate using the same tempering method described earlier, then use a piping bag or spoon to drizzle diagonal lines of the melted white chocolate over the bark.
Step 4: Letting It Set
- Allow the bark to set at room temperature for about 2 hours until it is fully solidified.
- Once hardened, break the bark into irregular pieces by hand.
Step 5: Second Layer β Peanut and White Chocolate
- Repeat the tempering process with the dark chocolate, as done in Step 1.
- Once the chocolate is ready, spread it in a new 9×13-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper, again creating a 2-3 mm thick layer.
- Sprinkle the salted peanuts over the melted chocolate surface.
Step 6: Letting It Set Again
- Allow the bark to solidify for at least 2 hours at room temperature until fully set. Once hardened, break it into pieces by hand.
Step 7: Final Layer β Pistachios and White Chocolate
- Temper the white chocolate once more using the same method.
- Spread the melted white chocolate in a 9×13-inch sheet pan, ensuring the layer is 2-3 mm thick.
- Immediately sprinkle the salted roasted pistachios evenly across the surface.
Step 8: Final Set
- Allow the white chocolate layer to set at room temperature for 2 hours.
- Once hardened, the chocolate bark candy is ready to be enjoyed or gifted!
