Make the Meat Sauce:
- In a large pan, sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the ground beef and smoked beef to the pan, cooking until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
- Pour in the bolognaise sauce and add a bit of water if the sauce is too thick. Stir to combine.
- Season with a pinch of sugar, ground black pepper, and Totole. Adjust seasoning to taste. Set aside.
-
Prepare the White Sauce (Béchamel):
- In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
- Gradually add the milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens to a creamy consistency.
- Season with nutmeg powder, grated cheese, and Totole. Adjust seasoning to taste. Set aside.
-
Assemble the Lasagna:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In an aluminum foil cup or baking dish, lay down a sheet of lasagna at the bottom.
- Spread a layer of the meat sauce over the lasagna sheet.
- Add a layer of the white sauce on top of the meat sauce.
- Repeat the layering process with another lasagna sheet, followed by more meat sauce and white sauce.
- Continue layering until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a final layer of white sauce.
-
Add the Toppings:
- Sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella cheese, grated cheese, and parsley.
-
Bake the Lasagna:
- Place the assembled lasagna in the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
