- 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter

Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and chunky peanut butter until smooth.
- Gradually add the light brown sugar, beating well at medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine the plain flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.

- In the top of a double boiler, combine the chocolate chips and half-and-half.
- Heat the mixture over simmering water, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.

- Place the pan in a bowl of ice water (or use an ice bath) and beat the frosting with an electric mixer at medium speed until it holds its shape and spreads easily.
