Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
All-purpose flour | 1 cup |
Salt | 1/4 teaspoon |
Baking powder | 1/4 teaspoon |
Butter | 10 tablespoons |
Granulated sugar | 1 cup |
Eggs | 2 |
Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
Confectioners’ sugar | 1 1/2 cups |
Creamy peanut butter | 1 cup |
Milk | 2-4 tablespoons |
Peanut butter cups | 4-6 |
Instructions:
-
Brownies: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the bottom and two sides of an 8-inch square baking pan with foil, leaving an overhang on two opposite sides for easy lifting later.
-
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined. Set aside.
-
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth and fully melted. Remove from heat.
-
Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
-
Gradually add the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined and no streaks of flour remain.
-
Spread 1 cup of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
-
Reserve about 32 peanut butter cup quarters for topping and sprinkle the remaining peanut butter cups over the batter in the pan.
-
Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter cup layer, covering them completely.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with a few moist crumbs.
-
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before frosting.
-
Frosting: In a mixing bowl, beat together the confectioners’ sugar and creamy peanut butter at low speed until almost combined, about 30 seconds.
-
Gradually beat in the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the frosting reaches a smooth and spreadable consistency.
-
Once the brownies are completely cooled, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top using a spatula.
-
Sprinkle the reserved peanut butter cup quarters over the frosting.
-
Slice into squares and serve these decadent Peanut Butter Cup Brownies to delight your taste buds! 🎉🍴
