Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 cup instant coffee (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup milk (for glaze)

Instructions:

For the Cake:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt cake pan thoroughly.

  2. Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt) together in a large bowl.

  3. In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients (cold water, white vinegar, vanilla extract).

  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until well combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the well-greased bundt cake pan. Smooth out the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.

For the Glaze:

  1. Mix the powdered sugar and instant coffee in a bowl.

  2. Dissolve the instant coffee in 1 tablespoon of milk, then add vanilla extract.

  3. Whisk the coffee-milk mixture into the dry ingredients until smooth. If needed, add an additional 1/2 tablespoon of milk to achieve the desired consistency.

  4. Use the glaze immediately. Pour it over the cake while it’s still warm; it will harden quickly.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve slices of the Amazing Solan Family Chocolate Cake with fresh whipped cream and strawberries for a classic pairing.
  • Alternatively, drizzle warm caramel or Kahlua over the cake for an indulgent twist.
  • For a richer flavor, glaze the cake with mocha glaze or a combination of these suggestions.
