  1. Begin by thoroughly washing and drying the oranges. Use a vegetable peeler to carefully remove the zest from the oranges, setting it aside for later use.
  2. Cut the oranges in half and extract the juice using a citrus press. Afterward, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp and seeds, placing the fresh juice into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Next, prepare the syrup: in a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved, which should take about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Once the syrup is ready, pour the Aperol into the freshly squeezed orange juice and stir to combine.
  5. Add the prepared sugar syrup into the juice and Aperol mixture, stirring until well combined.
  6. Finally, add the orange zest that you set aside earlier to infuse the punch with a fragrant citrus flavor.
  7. Serve the punch while it is still warm for the best flavor experience.
