Asam Padeh Ikan Tongkol Recipe

| Cabe merah kriting (red chilies) | 8 pieces |
| Cabe rawit merah (bird’s eye chili) | 4 pieces |
| Bawang merah (red onion) | 4 cloves |
| Bawang putih (garlic) | 3 cloves |
| Kunyit (turmeric) | A thumb-sized piece |
| Jahe (ginger) | A thumb-sized piece |
| Kemiri (candlenuts) | 4 pieces |

Instructions
- Prepare the Fish: Clean the ikan tongkol thoroughly and squeeze fresh lime juice over it, then set aside to marinate.
- Blend the Spice Paste: In a blender, combine the cabe merah kriting, cabe rawit merah, bawang merah, bawang putih, kunyit, jahe, and kemiri. Blend until smooth.
- Sauté the Paste: In a pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the blended spice paste and sauté until fragrant.
- Cook the Fish: Add water to the pan and bring it to a simmer. Gently place the marinated ikan tongkol into the pan, along with the daun sereh, crushed laos, and asam kandis.
