Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 28 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 7 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Spices: In a large mixing bowl, combine the paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and thyme. Mix well to create your Creole spice blend.

  2. Season the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss thoroughly to ensure all the shrimp are evenly coated with the spices.

  3. Prepare the Skillet: Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.

  4. Sauté the Aromatics: Add the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant and the mixture begins to bubble.

  5. Cook the Shrimp: Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Sauté the shrimp, turning occasionally, until they are opaque and cooked through. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

  6. Finish the Sauce: Slowly add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt completely and blend with the sauce.

  7. Serve: Transfer the shrimp to a serving plate and pour the delicious, buttery sauce over the top. Enjoy this flavorful dish on its own or over a bed of angel hair pasta for a complete meal.
